Welcome to Budapest Forró Festival! The festival team wants everyone to feel safe, welcome, and free to experience the joy of dance. This Code of Conduct applies to all participants, teachers, performers, DJs, staff, and organizers. By attending, you agree to help us create a respectful and inclusive dance community.
Respect & Consent

Always ask before dancing or initiating physical contact.

A 'no, thank you' is always okay - No explanations needed.

Respect your partner's boundaries during the dance.

Anyone can stop a dance at any time for any reason.

Be kind and considerate to dancers of all levels, backgrounds, and identities.
Safety & Comfort

Maintain appropriate and consensual touch for the dance style.

Practice good hygiene and awareness of space on the floor.

If you bump into someone, apologize and move on kindly.
Inclusivity

Everyone is welcome to lead, follow, or switch roles - don't assume based on gender.

Support fellow dancers regardless of skill level.

Celebrate the cultural roots of the dance with respect and awareness.
Harassment & Misconduct

Harassment, discrimination, or unwanted sexual attention are not tolerated.

If someone's behavior makes you uncomfortable, please let a member of the Safety or Organizer Team know right away.

Reports are treated with care, discretion, and respect.
